This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This private resource cannot obtain a docket for you, alter a court date, seal or remove a case, prepare a certified copy, or give legal advice. Contact the court or its clerk for those services.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
Route a Trego County request according to the record and the court that maintains it:
- Public case information: use Kansas CaseSearch for a District Court name or case-number search, then use the clerk or courthouse terminal if online information is incomplete
- A current hearing: check the Trego County court schedule and confirm a close or conflicting date with the clerk
- Plain or certified copies: ask the Clerk of the District Court about the exact document, current fee, payment method, certification, and delivery
- An older or unavailable public record: submit the written Kansas Open Records Act Court Records Request Form to the proper custodian
- A WaKeeney ordinance or city traffic matter: contact WaKeeney Municipal Court at 785-743-5458 because municipal records are separate from District Court records
The primary District Court contact is the Clerk of the District Court, Trego County District Court, 216 N Main Street, WaKeeney, KS 67672, phone 785-743-2148. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the office closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. The published fax for record requests is 785-743-2726, and the court lists TR.DC@kscourts.gov as its email.
Call before mailing or emailing a request to confirm that delivery method, payment instructions, and any certification charge. The Kansas Judicial Branch says District Court record requests must be written and provides a KORA form. The courthouse public terminal can expose public information that is not available through the internet portal, but sealed or legally restricted material remains unavailable. The 23rd Judicial District filing drop box is for self-represented filings, not docket searches or records requests.
