Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the entry and supplies its results. Trego County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to read it, respond, and maintain ordinary business records. It is not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers and supporting services may receive routine technical information about the visit:
- The device's internet protocol address
- Browser name, type, and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- The date and time of a page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services can help measure traffic, popular pages, navigation patterns, and performance. A browser can block or delete cookies, although some website functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website
- Route a submitted search to the provider selected by the visitor
- Measure which content is useful and how pages perform
- Diagnose errors, abuse, and technical problems
- Display advertising that may be selected according to visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Trego County Court Docket does not host, maintain, sell, or compile a database of Trego County court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general reference material about the Clerk of the District Court, the 23rd Judicial District, Kansas CaseSearch, courthouse-terminal access, and written record requests.
Official District Court records remain with the court. Their public access is governed by the Kansas Open Records Act where applicable, Kansas Supreme Court Rules 21 through 24, statutes, sealing orders, and other controlling law. Those rules do not turn this private website into a court-record custodian. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and Trego County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search tools that may appear on content pages. Information entered into those tools is handled under the provider's own privacy policy, retention terms, and sharing rules. Trego County Court Docket does not control those practices. Review the displayed provider terms before submitting a name, case number, or other query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Trego County District Court, Kansas CaseSearch, the Kansas Judicial Branch, municipal resources, legal information, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy and security practices govern that activity. Read those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select ads. That processing takes place through their systems and is subject to their policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by Trego County Court Docket. Limited information may be available to:
- A search partner that receives a query submitted through its tool
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and website performance
- Advertising networks serving or measuring advertisements
- Service providers supporting website operation and security
- A government body or law-enforcement agency acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information within this website's control. No internet transmission, network, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Safeguards reduce risk but cannot promise that loss, misuse, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, it may be removed after an appropriate request and reasonable verification.
Your Data Rights
Privacy rights may differ according to a visitor's place of residence and the law that applies. A person may be entitled to ask what personal data is held, seek correction or deletion, or object to certain processing. Any request may require reasonable identity verification, and an exception may apply.
- Request access to personal information maintained about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Request deletion where the governing law provides that right
- Opt out of processing when an applicable law requires that choice
The Kansas Open Records Act, including K.S.A. 45-218 and its exceptions under K.S.A. 45-221, concerns access to public records held by covered custodians. It is not a general consumer-privacy right against this private website. Kansas electronic court-record access also follows Supreme Court Rule 22, while Rule 24 addresses protected identifiers and redaction in public filings.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as website practices, providers, or legal duties change. A replacement version will be posted here with a revised effective date. The version displayed on this page governs use after it takes effect.
